last in the fridge wrapped in tinfoil? I have only used half and want to make stock from the rest.

I'd use with 2 days of cooking. Take meat off bones, wrap & freeze. Boil the rest up this arvo

So it's catfood now! Been in pretty cold fridge wrapped well in tinfoil for 5 days. Was hoping it was ok for stock. Damn waste.... Been a busy week!

Yep, 5 days is beyond pushing it.It may not even be cat food, though the cats will soon let you know if it is off or not.

After 48 hours the bacteria count on refrigerated chicken starts to increase exonentially.Daughter did a rather disgusting 7th form bio project years ago that illustrated this perfectly.I was off chicken for quite a while afterwards!Now I just observe the 48 hour rule.
