I have tried using recipes from the net, tried adding more coco and coffee but they are never dark enough.

What about something like a torte using chocolate, not cocoa? The cakes I like best always have chocolate in them and that means you can change it up to the darkest chocolate you can find if you like. :-) I have a chocolate hazelnut torte, I usually use 70% chocolate and it's pretty dark.

I second that geldof - its an awesome recipe and gets rave reviews everywhere I take it.
Get the REAL magazine from your local New World.there is a great one in there this month with dark ale and cream cheese.Delightful it is, and so easy to make.
