Contribution to Christmas brekky

mindi1, Dec 14, 5:52am
Am told to take nothing as all food taken care of ... but want to take something to eat at brekky. Any treats/additions/add ons that you can think of.
Am taking pressies and handmade foodie treats as part of gifts but would like to add to the breakfast table but hostess being too gracious?

She has probably planned her menu and doesn't want or need more food. Why not just take her at her word and maybe take along a bottle of bubbles or perhaps some Christmas lillies ?

Maybe some fresh fruit - cherries, strawberries, pineapple, etc.But Eastie could be right and flowers or bubbles would be lovely.

Maybe some nice jams or chutneys that if she doesn't use for Xmas, she can use at another time.

Thanks. Love the fruit idea and will take bubbles anyway.

I would go for stuff which she can put into her pantry - chutneys, jams, homemade shortbread etc...

If she has organised the food, she might like it "just so" - rather than have something which is more "potluck" (or organised-luck)...

So something which doesn't need to be eaten that day...
