Ham on the bone... must I glaze it?

Is it really neccessary? It tastes delicious as it is. Does glazing it somehow make it take longer to expire or something?

Is it really neccessary? IMO, not it's not "really necessary".

Re: "It tastes delicious as it is."If you're happy with the ham as it is, why bother doing anything with it, other than enjoying it as is.

Re: "Does glazing it somehow make it take longer to expire or something?" As far as I am aware glazing does not "make it take longer to expire" - glazing IMO adds to the flavour and enhances the appearance of the ham especially if carving it at the table or in front of fellow diners/guests.:-))

If you don't to enhance the appearance by glazing then I suggest you remove the skin and sprinlke with dry breadcrumbs-you bake bread/crusts in the oven then whizz or whack with a rolling pin.
