Can you use nz hawthorn in recipes, I have seen them on UK websites but wasnt sure if its the same tree we have here.If so anyone have a recipe to share?

Hi.. if you type 'elderberry' into the search bar on the left of your screen, then change 'last 24 hours' to 'anytime' by clicking on the down arrow, then search, there are a number of threads and then recipes to choose from.
I don't know about the Hawthorn.. a garden centre may be able to help.. Good luck..

was it elderberry champagne they made on river cottage? it looked beautiful & was only 4% alcohol
