Last year we had a free range Havoc ham on the bone and it was excellent.

And don't throw away those bones especially with a wee bit of meat on them, freeze them in smaller pieces and then ideal to use for "Pea & Ham Soup" for colder seasons.

we always order Rowntree's ham on the bone.. we have tried quite a few over the years but their's is the best non-butchery ham (i.e. you can get them from some supermarkets)that that we have tasted so far.
