I have just discovered some dries pasta, flour and sugar a couple of years (yes, years!) [ast it's best by date, do I need to chuck it? My feeling is yes, I just hate wasting food...

The pasta will be fine as long as it been kept dry..........the flour and sugar also fine providing there are no weevils in it....sift it first to check if in doubt

pip31, IMO, appearance and smell are your best guides - if you're happy with the appearance and smell of those products then IMO then your next judge of their usability should be taste.I personally would use the pasta - I have used dried pasta that has been lurking at the back of the pantry shelf for a considerable time and it has been perfectly ok.Check the flour for weevils.
