What type of icing is it. I have frozen fondant iced cakes.Just be careful when defrosting them.Unwrap and do not touch while it is defrosting.Mine always work out well.Best of luck.

Cake yup, pretty much all the time.Iced cake... depends.You could always freeze the cake and ice when you need it.
