Deviled sausages

hi all, hubby left this morning saying - yum id love deviled sausages - normally id quietly think hmm good luck finding that takeaway shop - but today im trying a new approach - sooo how the heck do i make this dish for us tonight??

Whatever you do, don't use a packet.Here's my recipe:
600gm pork or chicken sausages,
1T canola oil
1 clove garlic crushed
2 small onions thinly sliced
1 large apple thinly sliced
1 400gm can of tomatoes (flavoured ones are nice)
1/4c tomato sauce
1/4c bbq flavoured sauce (I use Cerebos Smokey Sauce)
2T brown sugar
2T malt vinegar
Pan fry sausages until browned and just cooked. Remove & cool slightly. Chop into pieces & place into casserole dish
Heat oil in same fry pan you cooked sausages in. Fry onions, garlic & apple until onions are soft. Add to sausages
Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over sausage & onion mix.
Cover casserole & cook in oven @ 180°C for about 25-30mins.
Serve on rice or mashed potato

I use a similar recipe, adding chunks of carrot, parsnip, etc.. and serve it with mashed potatoes and salad/ green veges..
