Can coconut cream be whipped up like normal cows cream?

Just curious ;-)

No, it can't.

Yes it needs to be very cold and add sugar and vanilla essence

ok haha, two differing opinions... is there a third to sway it one way or the other?

I wouldn't have thought it possible but there you go.

Heavy coconut cream (i.e. the thick layer at the top of an unshaken can) will aerate if whipped under very cold conditions but it won't stay whipped the way dairy cream does - it will capsize at room temperature. If you try to whip a whole tin of coconut cream it will get foamy but won't hold peaks the way dairy cream does.

just imagine if you could whip it, dreamy. Just have to revert to using the essence then?
