8 oz (225 g) chocolate melts/chips 1 oz (25 g) golden syrup 2 oz (50 g butter 2 oz (50 g) cornflakes
method
1. Put the chocolate, syrup and butter in a small bowl.
2. Place the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and heat until the ingredients have melted and are well blended.
3. Remove from the heat and fold in the cornflakes, mixing well.
4. Place a spoonful of the mixture into 12 paper cases and leave to set.

CHOCOLATE CRACKLES Makes 12
180g chocolate, coarsely chopped 4 cups puffed rice breakfast cereal Paper cases Silver cachous (silver balls) to decorate, if desired (i didn't use)
1. Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl and place over a saucepan of simmering water or microwave for 2 to 3 minutes to melt. ( I melted in microwave in 30 second bursts then stirring too about 3x 30 seconds bursts)
2. Stir the puffed rice into the melted chocolate. Mix well to coat well in chocolate.
3. Place spoonfuls in paper cases and leave to set. Decorate with silver cachous, if desired. (I didn't do this step)
I used this on the weekend and everyone loved them.
