i saw a picture of one and it looked beautiful. An American thing. Has anyone tasted it? what does it taste like? I am thinking of making one.

Im pretty sure its just a chocolate cake or maybe even a vanilla cake but you do out in about a bottle of red food colouring.

It tastes amazing, something different from the usual banana and chocolate :) I had one made for my birthday and then I decided to give it a go. Don't forget the cream cheese ;)

Taste is pretty average it is really just a choc cake with red food colouring and you need a lot to make it red

I made one several years ago. Personally I prefer chocolate cake as I could taste a slight aftertaste with the food colouring. It kind of tastes like a mild chocolate cake - with food colouring.

I saw that program last weekend. It was called something like, 'Eat Yourself Slim'. I had a feeling they used beetroot in the cupcakes. There was an English version of this program about 6 months ago on Friday nights but the one that was on at the weekend was an American show.
