Has to be cold as nowhere to heat anything. I'm useless at scones so thats out. I was thinking something savoury as I think there will be lots of sweet stuff.

Savoury pikelets always seem to get snaffled... a spread of cream cheese, a curl of smoked salmon and a twist of green herb.

Savoury Pikelets
Blend all till smooth:
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 eggs
1 cup milk

Cook as for sweet pikelets, turning when the bubbles break, but make them smaller.

Cream cheese and ginger rolls are lovely for afternoon tea. Mix a pot of cream cheese with finely chopped crystallised ginger and then spread on bread just as you would an asparagus roll.
