Making meatloaf

I understand that you make the meatloaf, cook for a bit then add the sauce.

In the recipe it says "basting while cooking". What does it mean?

Cook... drain out fat. . add sauce. . keep some back as reserve. . use some to spoon (baste) over top while cooking...

Depends on how much sauce you froze the meatloaf with and if you want extra! We ALWAYS want extra! :-)

This is my first time making it, hence all the questions. I hope I can make it like my mum can!

I think it may need extra sauce :)
