Macarons - who knew they existed? Found a small shop and bought six of these little temptations. OH MY GOD! Perfect. I can see I'll have to be visiting once a week.

A shop on Normans road by all the shops. Called Jaime les macarons. You've got to try the Bitter chocolate and Pistachio ones.

There is a lovely little cupcake shop on the cnr of Colombo St and Tennyson St in Beckenham that has yummy cupcakes andthey also sell a chocolate macaron which I tried and it was delicious. A bonus is that they are gluten free. Will be trying out the shop in Normans Road for sure.

you can buy them at the riccarton bush market on saturdays from the lady who makes them - (her husband is a chef in the ricc house) . . ive also had one at the mediterranean. she makes quite a few different flavours

Have you tried that japanese pastry shop at upper riccarton, opposite Countdown? They have macaroons there but I never tried them.

I bought an over-the-top chocolate cake at the Divine shop at Eastgate as a gift today and they had them as too.
Well done charlie on choosing the healthy option, it wasn't a bad day for walking. There is a tree in fulll blossom on the corner of Worchester Boulevard and Durham St.
