Tiramasu Type Dessert It makes plenty for a family gathering. 1 cup of very strong coffee ¼ cup of rum or brandy or whatever you have in the cupboard ½ cup of caster sugar 4 egg yolks 250 gm cream cheese 2 ½ cups cream 1 ½ packets digestive (or similar) biscuits ¼ cup cocoa Beat sugar and eggs until light and creamy. Beat in cream cheese at room temperature until very smooth. Beat cream until thick pouring consistency then add to cream cheese mixture and beat until mixture is thick and spreadable. Layer mixture and biscuits dipped in coffee/rum sprinkling each layer with sifted cocoa. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.

rainrain, that gives me the shivers. I have pasted that one to my recipe folder. I am a sucker for cream cheese desserts. There is a nice dessert using cream cheese and apricots, brown sugar baked. scrumptious, but over the years , with shifting etc, I lost it. May have had bread in it, eggs?

Isn't is a wee doozy... I have it filed away under special occasions only. Tried it once, and it is simply gobstoppingly good :-)
