Does anyone have a recipe for making waffles that doesnt involve having to separate the eggs please?

Separating eggs would be way too hard for my waffle-mad son. We use this one

2 cups self-raising flour, 1 teasp baking powder, 1 tbspn caster sugar, 2 eggs lightly, beaten, 100 grms butter, melted, 2 cups milk

Mix dry ingredients and make a well in the centre. Whisk eggs, milk and butter and pour into the well in the flour. Whisk batter until smooth, leave for ten minutes then make waffles by pouring heaped ⅓ cup of batter into the centre of the waffle iron and spread to the edges. Put cooked waffles in a single layer on a rack in an oven at 100oC while others cook.

Thanks heaps, that sounds great. Can we just use regular sugar? We have no castor sugar.

I'm sure ordinary sugar would be fine. Enjoy your waffles.

I thought the thing which made a waffle a waffle is
a. that the egg whites were beaten separately and
b. the machine they were cooked in (to waffle the surface)...

If you don't want to separate the eggs, a panckae mix of the same consistency would work.

Chef Duck Moon The recipe supplier means put them in the oven to keep the warm AFTER they have been cooked in the waffle iron.
