There is an ad on TV at the moment which has a couple camping, he is sitting on a log and he then stands up and put the log on the fire, he is toasting bread using a long handled wire cage-like apparatus. Can't even think of what the ad is for! !

We have one of those wire toast things somewhere here. . u can (or could) get them from camping shops. . in fact theres probably some on TM.

It might be worth looking at your local recycling centre too. I've got one with a handle extension that slides out - can make toast on your log-burner's embers :)
