Help with leek and spud soup please

Hi there,

I have boiled up some leeks, potatoes and bacon to make a soup.
Now so far that is all I have done. I have added salt.

But its quite bland... what can I add or do to make it nicer before I mash it?

first you should fry the bacon & the leeks, then add 2x cubes chicken stock then your amount ofd water required, simmer till spuds are cooked then whiz, add salt & pepper and dash of curry powder to taste...

Hint ... taste as you go but always UNDER-SEASON. Add any extra salt you desire shortly before cooking. (learnt the hard way, lol)
