fry mince and onion till brown, add some garlic, a sachet of tomato cup a soup, 1/2 tsp sugar, salt and pepper, some tomato sauce and a tin of tomatoes, 1 tin of water as well, if you have capsicum, mushrooms, celery then do them with the mince and onion. reduce the heat and let it simmer down, cook long spag in boiled water, drain and add some butter/marg and pepper toss well. from start to finish about 30 mins.

In a frypan cook finely chopped onion and garlic in oil, preferably olive oil or butter/margarine - you can also add finely chopped carrot. Take these out of the pan and add your mince, this will shorten the time because the heat can be higher andyou won't have to worry about the onions burning. When the meat is browned, put the vegetables back with a dash of wine (if you have/like it) and a tin of tomatoes, simmer for as long as possible and add herbs, preferably oregano and basil, and then season. If you want a richer flavour add some tomato paste.
