Edmonds cook book is really nice, just cook the biscuits for a couple of minutes less so they arent so crisp/hard...

You mean hand grenades? I agree, the Edmonds book

I love Yo-Yo's, but I hate baking/assembling them - the family demolish them so quickly, they don't appreciate the effort!

l have been making the recipe that Richard Till put in the Sunday Star Times many weeks ago and everyone loves them
Kylie's winning melting moments
250g butter, room temperature
1/3 cup icing sugar
11/2 cups plain flour
1/2 cup corn flour

Icing
50g butter
1/2 cup icing sugar
1 passionfruit
(or 1 tablespoon passionfruit pulp)

Cream icing sugar and butter
Stir through sifted flours
Use piping bag to make pretty rosettes or use a teaspoon to form little balls and press down with a fork
Bake 175C for about 10-12 minutes until pale golden brown
Cool on a wire rack

Icing
beat butter until smooth, gradually beat in sifted icing sugar
Stir through passionfruit pulp
Join biscuits together with passionfruit icing when cold
Makes about 15 small biscuits

Note l have been making my icing this way as some don't like passionfruit

My version of icing
50g butter
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 tablespoons custard powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
Put all into a bowl and beat together well

They don't last long round here they just melt in your mouth
Good luck
