It's called a corn zipper, it removes the kernels from corn cobs, neat tool to have, check the link below.

Hehe, yes,very cool, but some things make me wonder - why would I need a jelly shaver? (That is listed here, but didn't bother looking at it, just can't come up with a reason to invent one lol).

I do like the smiley corn zipper, it just makes me laugh.

Damn, never thought of that. I know Dad used to buy tennis balls that needed shaving after a game or two (they got funny looks when his tennis partner asked if he had shaved the balls - would have been in his 50s or so and very straight laced) lol
