From what they tell the judges, they practice in the allotted time at home, but seems they don't allow for the fact they are in a tent, and things are different. They should practice for the allotted time less half an hour and then they would probably finish things nicely.

Yes I think you’re right, factor in nerves and no wonder things don’t go as smoothly as trial runs at home.

Occasionally they comment that they almost ran out of time (or did) at home, so it makes me wonder why they think it is a good idea lol
