White chocolate in base of meringues

wheelz, Dec 17, 8:17am
Saw on a cooking program to put melted white chocolate in the bases of meringues to be filled, to prevent sogginess.
I have bought a block of Nestle milky bar. should I have bought white chocolate melts? Or will the bar I bought act the same?
Also, please, any hints of it not going solid before I have painted all the bases. Many thanks.

Milky Bar will be fine. However you've melted it, you can keep it liquid by sitting the bowl or whatever over another bowl of hot water - or zap it in the microwave for a few seconds (only) on LOW. It's not going to solidify in a hurry in this warm weather anyway :)
