Ahhh! Jam

Never ever had an issue with jam, any jam ever.

But I made some gold kiwifruit jam, the usual way, sugar, fruit and lemon juice and it crystallised! Why? I didn't even know it was a thing until now. Google said not enough pectin but one lemon is all I ever used. re-did it with 3, think it will work?

Ewww! Jam . hate that gold fruit, it's terrible stuff. Do let us know if you 'got it' the second time round!

apple had more pectin i just made grape jelly and cooked with small apple set great

Grape jelly, now that sounds interesting. I might have to make that next year. What does it taste like bobcat? Yummy?

with using a green sweet grape and a few pink as ate all the black it has taste of its own but very nice the recipe i used was 1 kg grapes 450 gm sugar and juice of a lemon but put 1 peeled chopped apple in
cooked grapes and apple until tender then mashed strain thru a sieve then add sugar to the liquid boiled until a wee bit set on a plate made 1 jar and some in a wee container

The extra lemon made it worse, not better.
