We used to get mutton hams made up by the butcher years ago when we had a sheep killed.It was quite nice to have cold during the summer.

Ask your butcher, they probably pickle some once in a while, especially with xmas on it's merry way again. We are not so fond of it, but it is ok once in a while, I get No. 2 son to cook it whole in his fancy modern hangi pot. You can buy them cooked from the butcher though :)
