Individual beef wellingtons

I want to make these for dinner tonight, but several of the people coming don't like mushrooms and/or pate. Normally, I'd make a combination of these two things to go on top of each piece of beef. What could I substitute? If I just do beef in pastry I'm worried it will be a bit bland and boring and possibly dry.

You could use a good coating of hot english mustard on the beef.

I've done chicken wellingtons with a cream cheese and spanch topping would that work with beef do you think?

I don't think the kids would like hot mustard

You actually do not taste it as hot after cooking. I always do it for rolled up beef schnitzel which I fill with bacon and onions.

I am not sure how cream cheese would work baked? But if you have done it before - try it.

Will the kids eat beef wellington though? It is not really cooked through meat is it?

Yeah they love the meat part, it's just the mushrooms and pate they don't like.
