Chicken in crock pot

Do I tip the liquid out? I put it on this morning but there is a few cups of liquid that has come out. I don't want it to be greasy tonight but I don't want it to dry out.

Whole chicken? can you carefully lift chicken up and sit upturned little plate underneath, or a few scrunched up foil balls in the bottom to sit the chook on. I always leave juices in to stop it drying out, but keep it out of them up a bit higher so it dosent get greasy as some chickens can release some fat.

Yes it's a whole chicken. That foil balls idea sounds good, I will give it a go!

Always use a trivet of some kind to keep the meat off the base of the CP bowl. An unturned plate works well. I use a small wire trivet which I found in a $2 shop.
