I made your rhubarb chutney from the Rhubarb Overload thread.

I have never made chutney before, was simmering away for about 1hr 20mins, have turned it off now, but it will smells vinergary. do I add more sugar? Or leave it and taste it, i'm scared to try it with the smell haha. But. what do I do? Thanks to anyone who can help :)

It's ok - I think I panicked prematurely, gave it a taste and it doesn't taste like vinegar. Guess it just needs to mature. Think it'll be A OK.
