Brisket in the Slow Cooker

Can someone please advise me on how to cook this? so i do it like silverside and cover in water or just pop in on its own? Many thanks

I cut it into small pieces and do it in a casserloe/stew.

rosielee3, is your brisket corned or not? If it's corned brisket, then cook it as you would silverside, remembering that long and slow cooking will produce a lovely tender result whether the brisket is corned or not. :-))

yes it was corned, so i did do this in the slow cooker with a recipe i found that included a bottle of beer and sweet chilli sauce. Was a hit with the family - although i didnt mind it, im not a fan of silverside and it was similar. What does 'corned' mean? Thanks
