I tried a recipe that par cooks the potatoes first but it wasn't overly successful, so looking on google some recipes say to grate raw potato instead. I was wondering what method worked for people that have made them successfully. I don't want to give up just yet and the idea of store bought ones doesn't appeal either. Tried and true and always successful recipes is what I'm after. Thanks

If you want hashbrowns go potato latkes. Easy and delish to make a tradition at mine. My go to every time. Link below gives lots of variations.
