Gluten free batter

Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for a gluten free batter? I have googled some recipes, some have rice flour, some cornflour, some a gluten free flour mix. But I'd love to know if anyone has one that works. TIA

Rice flour makes a crisper batter but I would use a mix of flours rather than just rice flour on its own. Same with corflour but you will need to check that the cornflour is gluten free as many aren't.

I use rice flour or maize cornflour and its just mixed with water a bit like a tempura batter (no eggs). then I dip the fish or whatever I've got through it, it is not a heavy batter but rather a light thin batter. otherwise I'd try cornmeal.
Maize cornflour is GF, the other type is wheaten cornflour which isn't GF
