Ours is a slightly more involved method.
Halve apricot & remove stone:
open freezer door, throw in apricots and close freezer door :)

Edit to add, Freeze them flat on a tray then bag them up when frozen

Or you could bottle them, do not know what you add, just used to see my ex MIL with a pantry full of bottled apricots, plums etc etc

I cut them in half and remove the stone. Put into a bag a d into the freezer.
Simple as. Ready to make jam or to stew. Yummmmm

bottled requires sealable jars. But I sometimes do freeze that way too.
Make a syrup up with sugar and water or just use water. Syrup is 1 part sugar to 1 part water (very sweet), medium is 1part sugar to 1½ parts water, and light is 1 part sugar to 2 parts water. The more water you use the less sweet the syrup.
Bring syrup to the boil add apricots (not too many at a time) halved and stoned, bring back to boil. Remove apricots and fill hot sterilised jars with them, then pour over syrup until about to over flow, run a knife around inside of jar to remove any air, top up with syrup and seal.
I sometimes do this but instead of putting into jars, let them cool slightly and pack into freezable containers.
