dallasm, Dec 18, 7:34am
The fudge has not set enough It is too pliable
Do I try to reboil or are there other ideas Like rolling in a ball and then coat with crushed walnuts?

Didn't cook long enough. Sugar thermometer will help but put in the pot and re cook again.

If the sugar and all is fully dissolved and it does not have that grainy taste then best thing to do is warm it up slowly then add some milk choc say about 1/2 cup and melt-mix it then continue as normal.
This is the best method for salvaging.

Some fudge recipes do border on being just right or just a bit on the soft side and some if not dissolved properly can be a bit grainy (normally sugary) or very soft is not boiled sufficiently or correctly and adding other ingredients too quickly.

If unsure on the recipe you wish to use (remembering that some are soft, some are firm and some are to your taste), then recheck with posters here.

Editing to add that it does come down to your definition on texture of the fudge that you want.
