We are harvesting mushrooms this year off our lawn. We scattered mushroom spawn over the lawn 5 years ago. This is the first year we have had enough to do anything with.

Too warm and dry up here as yet but expecting a good year if we get enough Autumn rain.

Never seen a field mushroom without all the tiny worms in them.rather store bought worm free ones.

rainrain1, Mar 25, 6:41pm
Well you ain't seen or tasted nothing yet

leonie11, Mar 25, 7:10pm
im so jealous, going to have a look!

dorothy_vdh, Mar 25, 9:00pm
I'm jealous as well

beaker59, Mar 25, 10:41pm
Which is why you have to get up early before the worm :)

Actually it is true as you want the new ones that have just opened its only the older ones that get the worms.

figjamto, Mar 26, 9:01am
Would agree, I think its been a tad too dry.hopefully they will come

Thanks beaker, never knew they had to be new ones,I just gathered all I could see.Oncepicked a bucket full, decided to make mushrrom soup. To my horror and disgust, once cooked and liquid added, all the worms were floating on the top! I nearly hurled to say the least.
