.made a couple of potato top pies which I froze. Took out of freezer yesterday for dinner tonight - usual thing! Now no-one is going to be here ggrrrrrr. If I re-cook it (top needed cheese added, browned & heated), is it safe to refreeze it! A bummer if I have to throw out! Many thanks

I wouldnt although it would probably be fine.If they have been in the fridge they would be fine for a couple of days before needing to be used so could you use them tomorrow night

It depends, as both lilyfield and robyn25 have said.

A general guide about refreezing used to be ( and I emphasise the 'general' and 'used to be'), was that if an item still has ice crystals, then refreezing is fine. If the pies haven'tbeen in the fridge, and you have made them, as opposed to bought, then I sympathise.

I am sure that others have moreup to date advice, so good luck! I have attached a website that may help you decide.
