It sounds like an odd combination to me, and not very promising.Do you have any cream cheese left! You could make a quick herby spread with cream cheese, chives, parsley, tarragon, salt and pepper, lemon zest and juice.Thin it with cream (or milk) to a spreading consistency.

Place all ingreds into the food processor & blend until smooth & creamy. Keep in fridge.

The original poster didn't seem to be asking for a recipe for pesto, but for a way of improving a concoction that included pre-made pesto long with cream cheese and other ingredients.

Lemon juice would be good.

Cream cheese(1/2 tub)
handful coriander
finely chop 1/2 red onion
juice of 1/2 lemon

Mix and leave for a couple of hours for the flavour to infuse. So quick and easy, yet people rave over it when I take it anywhere. Left at room temperature, it softens to a 'dip' consistency.
