Can you please help me, I have a wooden mould with a thistle on for my shortbread, the trouble is it sticks to the mixture, I have tried to flour it, oil it, use glad wrap and still it doesnt come out with the thistle on it. Any other ideas please.

The dough may not be cold enough. Place the dough in the fridge or even freezer, to harden, and your imprint will be crisp.

I dip mine into a saucer of flour, give it a tap on the side to shake most of the flour off, then use it for one imprint, then flour it again for the next piece.
I make balls of the dough by rolling it between my hands, then press the cookie stamp onto the top of the ball, pressing it down until it's the thickness I want the shortbread to be.

When using a cookie stamp, use it as a press rather than trying to stamp rolled dough. Balls of dough, stamp dusted with a little rice flour will do the trick
