I made up some passionfruit lite yogart but the consistency is strange, streatchy is the only way I can describe it. Does anyone know why this might have happened!

Maybe that was the problem with my yoghurt last week.I don't usually bother with the flavoured yoghurts much prefering the Greek style but I made up a batch of Hansells Berry flavour for my Grandies and it was quite runny compared to the previous batch.It had been working for 12 hours so should have been OK.

I find the flavoured packet mixes can be quite 'stringy' - its almost like the finished yoghurt has a thickener or something in it that holds it together whereas real yoghurt doesn't'stretch'.If you've made this, I'm sure my post will make sense!
I have found that the lite packets aren't as thick as the other ones.
