Hi all - I stumbled upon some American YouTube videos where they are making hot water cornbread. I am eager to try it. The recipe calls for Cornmeal however i cannot find any in any stores. Is Cornflour the same/similar! Does anyone know if i can get Cornmeal in NZ! And any of you Americans out there - is hot water cornbread nice! They seem to rave about it overseas.

Healtheries' cornmeal, fine and coarse, is in most supermarkets next to the other flours. It is packed in pale green bags.Otherwise I see it in bulk bins in Indian food markets.Polenta is the same thing, fine or coarse.Check which grade your recipe requires.
