Home-made tomato sauce help needed!!!

I have been cooking it for about 2 hours now and it is way to hot /spicy! ! Is there anything I can do to make it more mild without losing all the other flavours?

maybe add some more tomatoes and or apples. the only other thing I could suggest is to add a grated raw potato and continue to cook for a little longer. Otherwise sorry no ideas.

i had the opposite problem, and found my 1st batch to bland! i doubled the spices. which spice have u put in it to make it spicy? id prob add more tomatoes and apples as well.

Did the recipe specify storing it for 2 months before use?

If it did then it will settle down in that time and become more edible.

i think why many chefs use canned teatmoos because they want to skip the simmering and roasting process where it would take 2-3 hours to achieve the same texture and taste
