Help! Rolled leg lamb

frag, Dec 2, 4:27am
Bought a lamb roast labelled "NZ lamb boned leg roast" I thought it was pure lamb rolled. As it cooked stuffing oozed out though no mention of stuffing on label! I have no idea how to tell when its done! How do I know if the stuffing in the middle is done. It's 2.3kg and been in oven for 1 1/2 hrs

See if the meat juices are clear and if they are the stuffing should be cooked. What temp was the oven.If you had it at 180C it should be cooked by now.(you could always cheat and just check by cutting the roll in halfnow, if ok just leave it to rest before eating or else put back together and keep cooking).

Thanks I have taken it out and covered it to rest. It was 160 fan bake. Should the label have said it was stuffed! Usually you can see but this didn't show. I paid $35 it had a special sticker on it. Nz legs of lamb were 9.99kg I got one of those too. Wouldn't have bothered with this if I'd known it had stuffing: (

Enjoy, hope it's not fatty like rolled forequarters are.

They don't usually say stuffed, they say seasoned.

If it says "Rolled" it usually means stuffed.
