Anyone know where to get one in the greater Wellington area.Definitely a favourite of ours but haven't been able to source since our butcher closed a few years ago. TIA

Wish you were closer you could have ours. We get a free one every year and we don't like it. It gets fed to the dogs!

OMG I can't believe that. I have so may childhood memories of the mutton ham & much prefer it to the usual ham. For the first time in my life I rather wish I was a dog - well (briefly) at your place anyway!

Give Export Meats in Upper Hutt a ring. I think I saw some there a couple of years ago. If they don't have any, Steve may be able to tell you where some are.

LOL, the dogs do live well - and not just on the Xmas mutton ham! Not sure what it is about mutton but we don't like ordinary mutton either, we prefer lamb.

If you have a good butcher in the area, you could probably buy the mutton and he will treat it for you. Worth asking anyway.
