I made my first lot a couple of weeks ago. Mine weren't perfect but everyone loved them. I'm just trying to remember where I put the recipe.

There is no fail safe recipe unfortunately.I have found the best recipe is the Adriano Zumbo one - I just halve it as it is a huge amount.Google is your friend! :o)
This website is really good, it shows how to identify and solve issues. I'm a chef, and I have plenty of issues with macarons, but I think the key is getting the batter to the right consistency so that it spreads a little but not too much. That seems to solve any splitting or failing to rise up.
