So anyway the family used up all the yoghurt before i could grab some to innoculate my next batch. I accidently bought strawberry flavour (yoplait). Not sure if it will do the job!

Yep! I use any live culture yoghurt.It will have a hint of strawberry flavour so no good for 'greek yoghurt' dishes.

I havent tasted it yet but it does seem to have a pink tinge! Im not worried about it having strawberry flavour as i add berries to it anyway. Phew that it worked! Now remember to leave some to innoculate the next batch!
