Freezing ganache

Can you freeze ganache (I hope I'm spelling it right, and not looking like a complete and utter twit !).
I used a knob of butter, 200g of milk chocolate and (around, can't remember without raiding the rubbish bin for the container) 300g of cream.
It's turned out beautifully, but I've only made one cake, so I'm left with heaps of surplus.
If it doesn't freeze, how long will it keep in the fridge !
Thanks heaps

I have found it keeps for weeks in the fridge. I add a little alcohol to my mix, so that might help.

Freezes well.

In the fridge would last as long as the cream is ok.
(alcohol will probably help. lol)

I'm so pleased you asked this .I catered for 20 people last Saturday (40th birthday party) & I made aganache topping for the b'day cake & it was way too much & I need to freeze it as I have trouble not digging myself a spoonful, each time I go to the fridge!

I froze some about 2 weeks ago and needed more yesterday and it was fine when I used it, I have also frozen cream cheese icing from carrot cake successfully
