buttercheeses, sour creamhumus, dips,advice please

_allyloo_ , Yes to all of those - I haven't personally done so with all you list but I understand that others here on the Recipes have done so; however I have a few thoughts/suggestions for you.

Before you freeze the butter, cut it into pieces of the likely size that you will need for later use.
What kind of cheese are you wanting to freeze! If it's the basic cheddar type cheeses e.g. edam, tasty, etc. I recommend that you grate the cheese first then you can use it directly from the freezer - cheese once frozen is often crumbly so it is easiest to have it ready for use.

Hope that helps.:-))

I agree with 245sam.
I have frozen all of those things successfully.

thank you, I have a 21st a 50th and christmas coming up thought I would start squirreling supplies

_allyloo_ , the cheese that you are wanting to freeze - is it for cooking or for cheeseboards! If it's for the latter I recommend that you don't anticipate serving previously frozen cheese - IMO fresh is best for that purpose.
Good luck with all the party and festivity prep.:-))

Cheese has a really long shelf life.

I've frozen them all but as 245sam says the cheese is best used for cooking.
