Please help. removing set toffee from dish.

Master 12 decided he wanted to make toffee, didn't butter the dish, and now there's a huge lump of burned toffee in one of his grandma's nice serving dishes.

If you aren't going to be eating it, just soak in water (for ages)
Time for those kids to be doing gardening or folding washing.Out of the kitchen for a while, anyway.:-)

As above, just soak it for a couple of days.
Hope Master 12 has more success next time, memories of my first attempt at hokey pokey 40 years ago still haunt me. Lol.

Soak in very hot water if you're in a hurry, change water occasionally,, the sugar will dissolve nicely off.

soak it probably for days - could may need a sprinkle of baking soda
