it stuck to the bloody greaseproof paper. what a shambles.

Oh no, was your fruit hot when you put on top of the pastry! has it seeped through the pastry, I actually don't use greaseproof paper, I use baking paper.

Everyone will eat it. Just don't call it a 'pie' I always call my disasters 'rubble' and serve with ice cream. They all love it.

I learnt a brilliant tip to help prevent a very 'wet' filling from seeping through the pastry - whether or not the pastry has been baked blind, and that is to paint the base with egg white to seal the pastry.works everytime!
