i am going to start practising making decorations so by the time it gets to my kiddys bday i have hopefully got it masterd ! what can i use to colour the small lines in butterfly wings and eyes etc etc

edible icing pens are great for small detail, and easy to use if you are not very practised.try searching for some on here

Yes edible pens are good, quite expensive though. Just use a fine paint brush and some food colouring. Even the cheap liquid supermarket ones. Use a saucer to mix colours on and a little of your white fondant or even icing sugar to pale them down. Have fun.

A pot of edible glitter makes them look awesome. Expensive but you really do only use a tiny bit
